This policy describes how the current CamTap app handles information. CamTap is developed by Acacia Content LLC. The app is currently in development.
Information used on your device
CamTap uses your camera and microphone to record video and audio. It also uses game details you enter, such as league, team, opponent, game number, and date, along with marker labels and times. App preferences are stored on your device.
These details help organize recordings, identify marked moments, and create clips and marker files.
Recordings and storage
CamTap stores recordings and marker files on your device. The app does not automatically upload videos, audio, game details, or marker files to Acacia Content servers.
Creating a clip produces a separate file rather than modifying the original recording.
Camera, microphone, and Photos permissions
CamTap requests camera and microphone access for recording. It requests Photos add access to save recordings and clips to your library. When the save-to-Photos options are enabled, new recordings or created highlights may also be copied to Photos. You can change those options in CamTap’s settings and manage permissions in iOS Settings.
Copies in Photos may sync through iCloud Photos according to your Apple settings. Device backups may also include app data, depending on your backup settings. Those services are governed by Apple’s policies.
Sharing and other services
You choose whether to share or export recordings, clips, and marker files using iOS sharing tools. A service or person you share with receives the information you send. Their handling of it is outside CamTap’s control and is subject to that service’s policies.
Accounts, advertising, and tracking
The current app does not require an account and does not include advertising or third-party tracking SDKs. Acacia Content does not collect your recordings or game details through the app for advertising or sell that information.
Retention and deletion
Recordings and marker files remain in CamTap’s local storage until you remove them. You can delete stored recordings and their marker files from within the app. Exported files and Photos copies must be managed separately in the locations where you saved them.
Deleting a recording in CamTap does not delete a separate copy in Photos. Deleting a Photos copy does not delete the app’s copy. Shared copies and backups are subject to the controls and retention practices of the services holding them.
Footage of other people
Sports footage may include children, spectators, voices, team names, and locations. Please obtain appropriate permission before recording or sharing and consider the privacy of everyone shown.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include so we can respond to your inquiry. Avoid sending recordings or sensitive personal information unless needed for your request. You can contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any applicable legal retention obligations.

We will update this page if CamTap’s data practices change and revise the date above. This policy describes the current app; future features may require changes.
